Topkapi Sense Restaurant Scheveningen is the treasury room of all countries around the Mediterranean Sea with Ottoman influences. As the name implies, al your senses will be tickled. You will taste the kitchens of Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Our chefs de cuisine are assisted by several ladies who originate from the above mentioned countries.
In 1453 Mehmet the Conqueror (then sultan of the Ottoman Empire) conquered Constantinople. Several years later he had a Palace build, which was first called Saray-i-Cedid-Amire (new Palace) but soon became famous as Topkapi Saray.
Almost 4 centuries the TopkapiPalace hosted the Ottoman Sultans. Since 1924 The TopkapiPalace is a leading museum, where the treasures of the Ottoman Empire on art, culture and religion are shown. Topkapi is a true “treasury room” of the Ottoman Sultans who were famous for their drive to conquer and great sense of beauty and art.
Our restaurant is open from Monday till Friday 4 pm., Saturday 12 o'clock and Sunday 11.30 am.
Our meat and chicken is halal!
